Marubeni Scholarship Foundation Inc. donated school materials to three public elementary schools
Pupils at San Juan Elementary School
Marubeni has been providing assistance for vocational school students in the Philippines over the past two decades. In addition to these efforts, this fiscal year the Marubeni Scholarship Foundation Inc. (MSFI) moved forward with the “mission to donate school materials to public elementary schools,” a project that began in FY 2008.
This year three elementary schools were targeted for assistance: San Isidro, San Juan and San Pioquinto, which are all located in Municipality of Malvar in the province of Batangas. Because Marubeni Corporation runs the Lima Technology Center in Malvar, we decided to start assisting elementary schools in the local neighborhood. MSFI also donated school materials to another elementary school in Malvar in FY 2008.
Three schools received donations of PCs, TVs, and DVD players.
This year, we held a joint presentation ceremony at San Juan Elementary School on August 13, with Chairman & President Gutierrez of MSFI in attendance. We donated personal computers, TVs, DVD players and other materials these schools lacked. Our donations were greatly appreciated by the teachers and students of these schools.
The Mayor of Malvar also attended the ceremony and expressed his profound gratitude to MSFI.
